I have always been a person who likes to make someone’s day the best way I can. When I first began my professional career I was an Emergency Room employee. After many years in a fast paste environment I am used to unexpected events, high pressure situations, and using brain storming methods. While as a hospital worker I began to gain interest in legal studies. After much hope I began an internship with the State of Rhode Island Center of Law and Public Policy and The State of Rhode Island Medical Legal Partnership for Children. The Medical Legal Partnership for Children is located inside Hasbro Children’s Hospital which is Supported by Hasbro Inc., Lifespan, and Brown University.
At this time Hasbro was also my current place of employment. In my time at Hasbro I was able to see many different areas of work within one corporation. This was when I stumbled across Hasbro’s Annual Fundraising Ball. I fell in love with the work they did. I then seen how they are able to help people in a total opposite way, while also using creativity. Aside from medical and legal work I had also previously worked within hospitality in similar areas. I then began to do research on how to combined my experience because at this time I felt I needed a change in my career path.
A few months later I relocated to North Carolina. Where I began to work for a company named Bermuda Run Country Club as a special event worker. In this position responsibilities would entail to set up break down all events, act as server or bartender for main event. Shortly after Bermuda Run Joined Club Corp Country Club and became a national chain company. As an event worker I worked directly with Event planner and Chefs to ensure we ran each event efficiently. I later then began an internship with the Event planner for Club Corp. This opportunity later gave me more responsibility as an employee to Oversee events, help event planner with the planning of events, and overseeing employee responsibilities.
After much research I went on to attend Full Sail University as an Entertainment Business student. I found that this Degree program gave me a great opportunity to use all of my experiences and direct them onto one path. While attending Full sail I was able to work on other major Events throughout Orlando Florida. For example, Play with a purpose conference, Playlist live event, Granger annual Conference, Kennedy space center (NASA) events, Hard Rock café, and much more. I also had the opportunity to play a role in Telemundo’s television commercial for Sanford International Airport.
I feel that all my experiences have helped me greatly. Which is why I use each skill that I have learned in all areas of my work throughout Just Top Shelf Events. This is so I can provide my customers with a well ran stress free experience on each event they plan with us. While also giving back to our community along the way.
